About Duke Energy’s Campus Team Our Campus team partners with universities, technical schools, and student organizations to create talent pipelines for co-op, intern, and entry-level programs. We are committed to ensuring we attract the best talent - by casting a wide net and striving for a robust candidate pool encompassing people with a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences. What You’ll Do Recruitment Activities Develop and execute strategies to attract top talent for internships, co-ops, and entry-level positions. Source and pipeline candidates using internal and external tools (social media, job boards, etc.). Screen applicants, schedule interviews, and extend verbal and written offers. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within the applicant tracking system Campus Engagement Travel to targeted universities and colleges in our territories to participate in recruiting events such as career fairs, on-campus interviews, information sessions, resume workshops, and practice interviews. Build and maintain relationships with campus partners and student organizations. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders to understand workforce needs and provide recruiting consultation. Conduct intake sessions with hiring teams and create job requisitions in Workday. Compliance & Process Excellence Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies throughout the recruiting process. Complete all steps within the hiring and onboarding processes accurately and timely. Basic Qualifications ***This position can be hired as either an Associate Recruiting Specialist or Recruiting Specialist depending on experience*** Associate Recruiting Specialist Bachelor’s degree In lieu of bachelor’s degree listed above, High School/GED AND four (4) or more years of related work experience Recruiting Specialist Bachelor's degree In addition to required degree, three (3) years minimum of related work experience In lieu of bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years minimum of related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND seven (7) years minimum related work experience Desired Qualifications Experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably with campus or early-career programs. High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, and/or Yello. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred). Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills. Strong communication and relationship-building abilities. Effective planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Professional demeanor and ability to represent Duke Energy with integrity. Willingness to travel for campus events. Working Conditions Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations, with a standard requirement of three days per week at their assigned Duke Energy facility.
