Warehouse Associate 1 contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Warehouse Associate 1 in this job performs a range of general and specific warehouse tasks that can be easily learned on the job, such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.<br><br><ul><li>Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).</li><li>Stages finished product for loading.</li><li>Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.</li><li>Check items to ensure that the correct number of products is being assembled.</li><li>Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.</li><li>Load the finished product onto the truck.</li><li>Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.</li><li>Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.</li><li>Operate pallet jack within standard operating procedures.</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on palette jacks.</li><li>Perform on-the-job training for new employees.</li><li>Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.</li><li>Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.</li><li>Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience/ Training/ Education<br><br></strong><ul><li>Minimum of 0 - 2 years of warehouse experience</li><li>High School Degree or equivalent<br><br></li></ul><strong>Knowledge, Skills, And Ability<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints. </li><li>Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.</li><li>The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions</li><li>Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;</li><li>Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.</li><li>Ability to read, speak, and write in English.</li><li>Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.</li><li>Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.</li><li>Available to work extended hours.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Conditions<br><br></strong>Some Warehouse Associates will spend time in the warehouse's refrigerated (Cooler and Freezer) section. Machinery operation requires using safety equipment, including but not limited to steel-toed boots.
