Job Description:

KACK ENTERPRISE LLC is a United States Postal Service (USPS) Contractor. *We are seeking a power only 1099 owner-operator for Seasonal/Local CDL-A driver work needed from December 1, 2025 – December 24, 2025. Driver must be safety conscious and motivated. This is a touch freight position. Drivers are home daily!

All routes start and end in Fayetteville, NC and operate within South Eastern, NC. Available routes are First, Second and Third Shift. Driver must be willing to work weekends. Most routes are Monday – Sunday (daily).

Fayetteville to Wilmington, NC 12 am -6am, 185.6 Miles

Fayetteville to Hampstead, NC 11 pm – 5am, 200.8 Miles

Fayetteville to Newport, NC 9 pm – 3:30am, 326 Miles

Touch freight. Collecting mail consists of physically loading tractor/trailer with rolling containers containing mail. Dropping off mail consists of physically offloading box.

Skills Required

Preferably a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience and the ability to maneuver and back in tight spots. Perform simple tasks with the mental ability to handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain logs. Must be able to use a GPS to go to different Post Offices. Driver must have a smart phone and be able to use Samsara/ Mapquest/google maps driving directions. Must have detailed knowledge of and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to, those governing safe driving, hours of service, inspections, and transportation. Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers.

Qualifications

Ability to read, comprehend, and write in the English language. A minimum of 3 years of CDL-A driving experience required. Must be registered in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. Candidate’s motor vehicle record must reflect safety consciousness.

  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Must provide a power unit with standard wheel base. Truck must be DOT ready. Tractor must be able to maneuver through tight spaces.
  • Company must have a DOT# and own operating authority
  • Supplier will equip supplier’s tractors with a Global Positioning System (GPS) / Electronic Logging, for the purpose of real-time shipment tracking.
  • Shall operate in a manner superior to the industry average for each FMCSA SMS component while maintaining a satisfactory FMCSA safety rating.
  • Shall establish and maintain continuously in effect a policy, or policies of liability insurance as required. Coverage must meet all minimum insurance requirements imposed by federal, state and local law or regulation.
