We move fast and need to move faster.</p><p>About the role</p><p>This role will support execution of workflows and operational processes that enable Tandem to fulfill its mission of expediting access to critical medications. The work involves direct interaction with systems and procedures that affect the experience of both patients and providers.</p><p><br></p><p>The <u>position is entry-level</u> and requires quickly learning and applying complex operational processes. It involves regular engagement with real-world healthcare scenarios, particularly around prescription access and coordination. The role offers exposure to the challenges and pace of an early-stage company and provides a valuable opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of how the U.S. healthcare system operates from an operational perspective.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a remote contractor (40 hours / week) position, and we are looking for candidates who can start immediately.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>If you join, you will:</strong></p><ul><li>Immerse yourself in complex, medical workflows, and directly interface with patients and providers</li><li>Become an expert in the world of medication access, ranging from how every relevant type of health insurance process works to how GoodRx coupons work under the hood</li><li>Work with doctor’s offices, insurance companies, nonprofit foundations, and pharmacies to help get prescriptions processed efficiently</li><li>Master proprietary software tools to execute operational workflows efficiently, while continuously adapting and optimizing processes</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>We’ll be most excited if you:</strong></p><ul><li>Have experience in a healthcare operations role that includes prior authorization work (e.g. medical assistant, pharmacy technician) or have demonstrated strong performance across pre-med coursework</li><li>Have experience in a role that requires operational rigor and outcome ownership</li><li>Know how to deal with ambiguous problems and effectively resolve</li><li>Able to master new complex technology tools quickly and work with data</li></ul><p><br></p><p>This is a list of ideal qualifications for this position.
