This space has seen sustained growth year on year and this position could be technically challenging, enjoyable and lucrative for the right candidate.</p><p> </p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to drive revenue growth, manage product positioning, implement installations, support customers and introduce new technologies to the Irish life science market. </p><p> </p><p><strong>The role requires a consultative sales (meet, advise, demonstrate, convert the opportunity, train and provide ongoing technical support) approach by an intelligent, articulate, sociable and tenacious candidate.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>The ideal candidate would have a molecular or cellular biology education and experience on the bench, previous sales experience and a track record of meeting and exceeding targets. However, we are willing to overlook some gaps here if the candidate is strong in the other areas outlined.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>You will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li>Managing and growing assigned product lines within the laboratory automation and genomics portfolio on the island of Ireland.</li><li>Achieving annual sales and margin targets through strategic account planning, tender participation and proactive market development as part of company strategy.</li><li>Identifying, developing and closing sales by prospecting and activity.</li><li>Actively managing leads through the sales process. This includes using Salesforce leads from the manufacturer, emails, phone calls and other communication channels to proactively meet or exceed targets.</li><li>Identifying emerging opportunities in research, clinical and pharmaceutical sectors.</li><li>Serving as the primary Labplan contact for designated international suppliers.</li><li>Developing and supporting marketing activities in collaboration with partners.</li><li>Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and product lifecycle developments.</li><li>Conducting technical consultations, develop/configure solutions, product demonstrations and presentations at customer sites.</li><li>Providing high quality pre and post sales support in partnership with Labplan’s service team and manufacturers’ applications teams.</li><li>Contributing to digital marketing campaigns and CRM driven lead generation initiatives.</li><li>Participating in training programmes to develop and maintain product expertise and market knowledge.</li><li>Working closely with your sales, service, administration and logistics colleagues to ensure an excellent customer experience.</li><li>Maintaining and updating technical knowledge through courses and inhouse training </li><li>Following Labplan procedures and policies</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>You will bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent track record in new lead generation and overachieving sales targets in the life science market</li><li>Business development experience</li><li>A high degree of customer service orientation & excellent communication skills</li><li>The ability to work in a SME company (fast paced, ability to get stuck in, problem solver)</li><li>Experience with laboratory automation software or other relevant laboratory software would be highly advantageous.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>BA/BSc/MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology/Cellular Biology is required</li><li>2 years + sales experience</li><li>A Full, clean driving license </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Package:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive/Attractive base salary (€55-67.5K; will reflect experience)</li><li>Bonus structure (€20K OTE, €20K stretch target plus 3% over and above of transaction)</li><li>Attractive Company Pension Scheme (matched up to 10% of salary)</li><li>Travel and subsistence allowance in line with Revenue's ERR rules</li><li>Healthcare Cover</li><li>Phone and laptop</li><li>Social and Christmas events</li></ul>
